Mike and I got married May 16. But that was months ago, so I'm skipping ahead to the last week. School started August 31, and I am taking 18 credits. That's a ton, but these classes are manageable. I'm in the Undergraduate management core, and I'm also taking Money, Banking, Business class. I'm also continuing on my internship at Nu Skin. It was my full time job this summer, but they let me stay on part-time during the school year. Mike works at the BYU bookstore part time. He is their best and only box distribution and placement engineer (stock boy). Mike is taking 15 credits so far. I have no time to cook! When I was in the junior core, I thought, "Wow, wouldn't it be great to be married. All the married guys have nice lunches packed every day by their wives." But then I realized, I would be the wife, and I would probably be making the sandwich. If we're lucky, I do make the sandwiches, or the dinner. If we're not lucky, then we have slim fast for lunch, and sandwiches for dinner. Over the labor day holiday, I got ahead on my reading, so I did have some time to cook! Yesterday I made chicken cordon-blue and mashed potatoes. Today I made southwest hamburgers...mmmm with a Chipotle lime mayo. Delish! When I was working full time, I would spend a couple hours every other Saturday cooking 7 different things, so I could relax after work. Now Saturdays are for getting ahead in my homework so I can handle my day-to-day. I do what I can. On the bright side of not having time to cook, is I am loosing weight! Yay!
Also, I have decided to pursue a Masters in Accounting at U of U. With that comes studying for the GMAT!! Exciting, right? More tests!

First Post and How Mike and I met
I love the idea of blogging for Mike and I after we get married, but why wait? Interesting stuff happens to us now, too! Like how we met...
We met at BYU in our ward at Heritage Halls. Mike went there for spring and summer terms, but I only went for the summer term. So we met when his apartment was visiting my apartment. I was one of the "new" girls, but he and his roommates already knew my roommates. We didn't talk, but that was "the sighting." I was warned that freshman on campus wards were meat-markets. I guess I was warned correctly!! We had a great conversation at "break-the-fast" two weeks later. We liked a lot of the same music, and this is exciting for both of us. We grew crushes that day, but soon after that I was dating someone else, while Mike was deciding whether or not to ask me out. Oops--too late!! We were still friends though, in fact we were work-out buddies. We ran the "Y" every day for exercise (or the company ;). We grew close (as friends). I still had my crush, and I had no idea that Mike had one, too.
How we became best friends
Mike went on his mission in September; I kept on going to school at BYU. A semester went by without me hearing from Mike. Mike finally sent me an email in December, and I got his address then. We started writing, and I wrote him all through his mission. I never was "waiting" for Mike. I dated other people at school, and even when I was single, we mostly kept our feelings to ourselves. Mike became my rock, and my best friend. He supported my through my greatest fears and trials while serving across the country in West Virginia.
How I fell in love
I had a vacation booked to visit my sister Carolyn in Foresthill, CA two weeks before school started in the Fall. I found out that Mike's family lives in Modesto, CA. It's actually pretty close! With some scheming on Mike's part, and with help of his cousin Aaron, I was able to catch a ride to Modesto to be there for Mike's homecoming talk. Then we both went to Provo, and spent a week together before Mike went to BYU-Idaho. I was very lucky to spend so much time with my friend. I quickly fell in love because of Mike's kindness and unselfishness, and how FUN he is!
Not to mention he's devastatingly handsome ;)
But when did Mike fall in love?
Mike tells me that he has been in love with me since our summer as friends--before his mission. He never would have guessed that anything would EVER happen between us. Mike still says, "I must have voted for Pedro because all of my wildest dreams have come true."
